The Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) is preparing to host its 14th edition in the picturesque Himalayan foothills from October 30 to November 2, 2025. The festival will commence with the screening of Neeraj Ghaywan's film 'Homebound' and conclude with Anuparna Roy's 'Songs of Forgotten Trees', which previously earned recognition at the Venice Film Festival.
Over the years, DIFF has established itself as one of India's leading showcases for independent cinema, attracting filmmakers and audiences from around the world to its non-competitive event. This year's lineup continues to impress, featuring a diverse selection of award-winning films from prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, and Busan.
Highlights of the festival include Bhutan's Oscar entry 'I, The Song' by Dechen Roder, Rohan Parashuram Kanawade's Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner 'Cactus Pears', and Raoul Peck's documentary 'Orwell 2+2=5'.
