On November 13th, 2025, the 15-day Him Utsav festival was inaugurated at Delhi Haat, providing visitors an immersive experience of Himachal Pradesh's vibrant culture. The event, formally opened by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, aims to promote the state's cultural identity at the national level.
The festival features a diverse array of stalls displaying Himachal's handloom and handicraft products, renowned for their quality and originality. These include traditional garments, decorative items, and locally produced food specialties. The event also showcases folk dance performances, live music, and authentic Himachali delicacies like Siddu, Dham, Babru, and Chana Madra.
According to the Chief Secretary, such festivals offer artisans and craftsmen a valuable platform to understand market trends, interact with customers, and showcase their exceptional work. The 86 stalls set up at the Utsav include those run by self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, contributing to the rural economy.
The Him Utsav, reflecting Himachal Pradesh's rich cultural identity and artistic legacy, will continue until November 30th, 2025, providing visitors a unique opportunity to experience the state's vibrant traditions.
