In early 2025, Hilary Duff's family of six, including three daughters and three dogs, found temporary refuge in a mansion owned by Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden after evacuating their Beverly Hills home due to raging LA wildfires. This event occurred amidst 14 separate wildfires in Southern California between January 7-31, 2025, which tragically resulted in 31 fatalities and the destruction of over 18,000 structures.
Duff shared on The Drew Barrymore Show that Diaz and Madden "were lovely enough to let our entire family stay in their house." The actress also humorously recalled an argument with her husband, Matthew Koma, which ended with her throwing his phone into a "really sharp bush," specifically a bougainvillea.
The wildfires caused a massive evacuation of over 200,000 people. Among those who lost homes were numerous celebrities, including Mel Gibson and Jeff Bridges. Jonathan Rinderknecht was arrested for his alleged role in the Lachman Fire, facing trial on April 21.
Duff also discussed her collaboration with Koma on her latest album, Luck... or Something, and confirmed she is "pregnant for the last time," with Koma having undergone a vasectomy.
Duff is set to embark on her first world tour in nearly two decades, The Lucky Me Tour, beginning June 21-22 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
