In October 2025, the hit Off-Broadway parody "Ginger Twinsies" is wrapping up its limited run at the Orpheum Theatre. The show, which began as a benefit reading during the writers' and actors' strikes two years ago, has since snowballed into a full-scale production that pays homage to the beloved 1998 Lindsay Lohan film The Parent Trap.
Creator Kevin Zak, 37, has crafted a hilarious and over-the-top take on the classic story, complete with a giant Meredith Blake hat, a 5-minute "secret handshake" production number, and a surprise cameo by Jamie Lee Curtis. Zak's goal was to make the show as "gloriously stupid as possible" while still capturing the essence of the original film.
