Véronique Nichanian has bid farewell to Hermès menswear, showcasing her final collection after an illustrious 37-year career with the French luxury house. The Fall-Winter 2026-2027 collection was presented at the Palais Brongniart during Paris Fashion Week.
The collection emphasized Hermès's renowned focus on high-quality materials and understated elegance. Models wore luxurious silk turtlenecks paired with leather trousers in a palette of navy, black, and taupe, complemented by richly textured overcoats featuring leather patchwork and shearling.
Nichanian masterfully wove archival pieces into the lineup, including a navy leather suit from 2003 and a calfskin jumpsuit from 1991. Vibrant flashes of orange and yellow added pops of color, while a glossy khaki crocodile-skin suit made a bold statement.
Looking ahead, Grace Wales Bonner, founder of her eponymous label, will assume the role of creative director for Hermès menswear starting January 2026. This appointment makes her the first Black woman to lead a major fashion house, ushering in a new chapter for Hermès.
