Hermès captivated attendees at Paris Fashion Week by transforming the Garde Républicaine into a forest floor. Thick, damp moss carpeted the venue, imbuing the air with a potent humus scent. This immersive environment, designed to "knock you off balance," set the stage for the fall-winter collection.
Creative director Nadège Vanhée named the collection "Entre chien et loup," a French phrase for dusk. The designs were described as muscular and body-conscious, emphasizing movement. Leather was a dominant material, featured in fluid overcoats with large collars, an orange ostrich-leather jumpsuit, and glossy lambskin cycling shorts.
The color palette defied expectations, shifting from sulfur yellow to oxblood red and forest green, creating surfaces that changed in the light. Zippers were a recurring motif, appearing functionally and decoratively. Tailored blazers and trousers provided structure, while quilted silks offered a softer touch.
