As of October 2, 2025, 42-year-old actor Henry Cavill is not letting a recent leg injury slow down his fitness routine. Just three weeks after first reporting the injury, which occurred while he was training for an upcoming reboot of the Highlander film series, Cavill has shared multiple photos of himself exercising with a large brace encompassing most of his left leg below the knee.
The photos show Cavill doing pull-ups with his legs extended out, as well as completing leg extension exercises while wearing the cast. The final image in his Instagram post appears to depict his leg receiving medical treatment. Cavill accompanied the post with a quote from the 1999 video game Planescape: Torment, writing, "Endure. In enduring, grow strong."
Cavill's latest update on his injury comes after he previously shared a photo on September 19th of his leg elevated and wrapped. At the time, he also posted the text of the poem "Invictus" by 19th-century English writer William Ernest Henley, reflecting his determination to overcome the setback.
The Highlander reboot, which is currently in pre-production, will see Cavill starring alongside a cast that includes Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Max Zhang. Cavill has teased that fans will be impressed by his sword work in the film, which is a remake of the 1986 fantasy-adventure movie.
