Heli Daruwala Tackles Extreme Shades in New Film

Heli Daruwala is currently immersed in her upcoming film, where she portrays characters with extreme emotional and moral ranges. She believes that contemporary film relies heavily on strong performances and compelling content, rather than solely on the actor's depicted shade. Daruwala is inspired by Priyanka Chopra's powerful and memorable performance in 'Aitraaz,' seeing it as a benchmark for impactful roles.

The film, shot over approximately 25 days in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, presented Daruwala with a significant acting challenge. Her role involves a dramatic transformation throughout the narrative. Although initially appearing as a negative character, the role is deeply rooted in the plot, offering ample opportunity for an actor to explore multifaceted and intense shades within a single performance.

Daruwala, who has a background in television, sees little difference in the mediums today, stating that the primary goal is to be part of a good project that reaches the audience, whether through theaters or digital platforms. She is excited about her debut as a lead in a feature film, having also completed a project for a major OTT platform.
