Heated Rivalry Season 2: On-Set Jitters & Russian Accents

Hudson Williams recently discussed the experience of returning to the set for the second season of the hit queer hockey romance drama, 'Heated Rivalry.' The 26-year-old actor described the feeling as surreal, admitting that both he and co-star Connor Storrie were initially concerned about seamlessly slipping back into their roles after a significant break. Williams noted it was his first time reprising a character on such a large scale.

The actors found themselves overconfident, believing they knew their characters inside and out. However, upon arrival, both experienced a moment of doubt, questioning if they were doing an impression of their characters rather than embodying them. Storrie even remarked on the strangeness of the first day back. Williams attributed their quick return to confidence to the consistent, intimate atmosphere maintained by creator Jacob Tierney and the returning crew.

Williams also teased that season two will largely follow Rachel Reid's novel, 'The Long Game.' He characterized the book as a sad exploration of external adversity and relationship communication issues, which he anticipates will be both frustrating and rewarding to portray as Shane. He expressed hope that these human and real challenges will translate into compelling television for the viewers.
