Heated Rivalry S2: Creator Confirms Book Fidelity

The upcoming second season of the popular hockey romance series is poised to be a remarkably faithful adaptation of Rachel Reid's novels, according to creator Jacob Tierney. He confirmed that the show's upcoming installment will closely follow the source material, a trend established in the first season which adapted the first two books with minimal changes.

Season 2 will primarily focus on the continuing narrative of Shane and Ilya, directly adapting events from the novel 'The Long Game.' It is also highly anticipated that plotlines from Reid's book 'Role Model,' featuring characters Troy and Harris, will be incorporated, given their significance to the main couple's story and the overlapping timelines of the books.

Fans can expect the show to delve deeper into Shane and Ilya's efforts to balance their careers as hockey stars with their developing relationship. The storyline is also expected to explore the romance between Troy and Harris, which plays a crucial role for the lead characters, particularly Ilya. Filming for Season 2 is slated to begin this summer.
