HBO Max Dominates Streaming as Netflix Follows
26 Feb
Summary
- HBO Max claims top two spots on streaming charts.
- Netflix secures the next five positions with diverse shows.
- Linear TV sees 'American Idol' topping charts for weeks.

HBO Max is currently dominating the streaming landscape, securing the top two positions on Samba TV's weekly Wrap Report. "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" reclaimed the first spot, buoyed by its season finale and critical acclaim, with "The Pitt" following closely behind. This strong performance by HBO Max comes as its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, faces an uncertain future.
Following HBO Max's dominance, Netflix captured the next five spots on the chart. "Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model" led Netflix's entries, with other popular shows like "The Night Agent," "Love is Blind," "Joe's College Road Trip," and "The Lincoln Lawyer" also appearing.
Beyond the top streamers, Peacock's "The Traitors" made an appearance at eighth place, while Apple TV+'s "Shrinking" landed at ninth. Prime Video's crime thriller "Cross" also entered the chart for the first time this week.
On the linear television front, "American Idol" continues its reign, topping the chart for its fourth consecutive week. Other linear favorites include "America's Funniest Home Videos," "Wheel of Fortune," and "Jeopardy!," with "Will Trent" being the sole scripted show in the Top 10.
