A new wave of talent has been added to the HBO Max drama pilot, "American Blue." Kelly Jenrette, Carlito Olivero, Onye Eme-Akwari, Jess Gabor, and Eddie Kaye Thomas are set to star alongside lead Milo Ventimiglia.
Milo Ventimiglia portrays Brian "Milk" Milkovich, a native son returning to Joliet, Illinois. His mission is to aid a beleaguered police force and simultaneously pursue his own redemption.
Kelly Jenrette will play Watch Commander Meg Jackson, a dedicated officer fighting for respect. Carlito Olivero is cast as TAC officer Mike Ortiz, who becomes embroiled in a departmental investigation.
Onye Eme-Akwari joins as patrol officer Darryl Andrews, navigating complex professional and personal dynamics. Jess Gabor takes on the role of rookie patrol officer Suze Dombrowski, confronting disillusionment. Eddie Kaye Thomas will portray Sergeant Paul "PJ" Booker, Jackson's competent second-in-command.
The pilot, written by Jeremy Carver, is set in Joliet, Illinois, a city grappling with its own challenges, mirrored by the police department's struggles. David Ayer is directing and executive producing.
