Heroes' Star Hayden Panettiere Dies at 36

Actress Hayden Panettiere, widely recognized for her roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," has passed away at the age of 36. She was discovered unresponsive in cardiac arrest on Sunday at a South Carolina residence where she was temporarily staying. Emergency medical personnel initiated advanced life support measures following a 911 call, but their resuscitation efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. She was pronounced deceased approximately 30 minutes after the initial call.

An autopsy performed on Monday revealed no indications of external trauma that could have contributed to her death. However, the official cause and manner of her passing remain pending the results of additional toxicology and investigative testing. Panettiere, a California resident, had previously spoken openly about her battles with addiction and mental health challenges, releasing a memoir earlier this year detailing her experiences.

Born in New York in 1989, Panettiere began her acting career at a very young age, with notable roles including Lizzie Spaulding on "Guiding Light" and Princess Dot in "A Bug's Life." Her breakout performance as Claire Bennet in "Heroes" cemented her stardom in her teenage years. She later starred as Juliette Barnes in the musical drama "Nashville." She is survived by her daughter, Kaya.
