Harry Styles' Vatican Haircut Surprise
23 Jan
Summary
- Styles was in Rome for a haircut when Pope Leo XIV was elected.
- He heard the announcement and decided to walk to St. Peter's Square.
- Styles' new single 'Aperture' dropped the same day as his BBC interview.

Harry Styles recently shared a surprising story about his presence in Saint Peter's Square during the papal conclave election of Pope Leo XIV. He explained that he was actually in Rome getting a haircut when the election results were announced. The sounds of "Habemus papam!" prompted his barber to stop and inform him of the new pope.
Intrigued and finding himself only a short walk away, Styles went to witness the event. He described the scene as "wild" and humorously recalled his reaction to the widespread attention, joking about who could upstage him. Fans had previously seen photos of him in the crowd, sporting a distinctive blue jacket and a "Techno is My Boyfriend" cap.
This revelation came during an interview with BBC Radio 1 around the release of his new single, "Aperture," on Thursday, January 22nd. Styles noted that the song, a five-minute dance track, was created late in the album's production process and felt like the mission statement for his upcoming album, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally," due March 6th.
