Filming for the highly anticipated Harry Potter television series has begun, with set images offering a glimpse of iconic locations. These constructions reportedly include Professor Sprout's greenhouse, the Hogwarts courtyard, and the Whomping Willow. A small building potentially representing the Burrow or Hagrid's Hut has also been spotted.
The new series, slated for a 2027 launch, stars Dominic McLaughlin in the lead role of Harry Potter. He is joined by Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger. Other cast members include Nick Frost as Hagrid and John Lithgow as Professor Albus Dumbledore.
Filming commenced last year, with cast members seen in character. In August 2025, Dominic and Nick were photographed in costume in London. Filming locations have spanned various sites, including Cornwall, where John Lithgow was seen as Dumbledore.
