Despite Box Office Flop, Harry & Meghan Film Gets Streaming Deal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary, 'Cookie Queens,' is slated for a streaming release on Paramount+ beginning January 6, 2027. This announcement follows the film's limited theatrical run in August 2026, during which it garnered less than £250,000 at the US box office. The documentary, a production by the couple's Archewell Productions, focuses on the experiences of Girl Scouts and the traditions surrounding their annual cookie sales.

Despite its box office performance, which saw it fall outside the top ten releases, the distributor expressed encouragement due to positive reception from Girl Scout groups. The film, described as a celebration of girlhood, was jointly promoted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026. This streaming deal on a major platform indicates a continued path for their content, despite previous deals with Netflix concluding in 2025.
