A new eight-part series, "The Woods," based on Harlan Coben's novel, is currently in production for Netflix. The drama centers on Paul Copeland, a barrister and single father, whose sister vanished from a summer camp two decades ago.
When a body is found 20 years after a supposed murder, Paul becomes convinced his sister might still be alive. He reconnects with his former love, Lucy Silverfield, to seek answers and expose hidden truths and family secrets.
Penned by Danny Brocklehurst, a frequent collaborator with Coben, the series is described as a "twisty, emotional thriller." Coben himself called it a "haunting and very personal story" filled with unexpected turns and centered on themes of old love and yearning.
The cast includes Kerry Howard, Roger Barclay, Simon Lowe, Dean Fagan, Tom Allen, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Charlotte Beaumont, and Christopher Harper. A release date for "The Woods" has not yet been announced.
