The cast of the NBC sitcom "Happy's Place" is eagerly anticipating the show's second season, which is set to premiere on November 7, 2025. In an exclusive interview, the ensemble, including Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Rex Linn, and Tokala Black Elk, shared their hopes and dreams for the new episodes.
One of the key storylines the cast is excited about is the possibility of exploring flashbacks to the late father of lead characters Bobbie (McEntire) and Isabella (Escobedo). "We have a dream of seeing flashbacks to Happy," Castelblanco revealed. Additionally, Escobedo expressed a strong desire to have acclaimed actor Kevin Costner guest star on the show.
The cast is also hoping to welcome more familiar faces to "Happy's Place" in season 2. Peterman, 54, suggested a fun flashback scene showcasing the characters' job interviews, while Linn, 68, named his friends John Lithgow and Jean Smart as potential guest stars. Castelblanco even pitched the idea of bringing in Sofia Vergara and John Leguizamo to play Steve's parents.
As the ensemble has grown closer over the past year, the cast members are confident that the show's second season will be even better than the first. "We're bonding a lot more. All six of us are very confident and very comfortable with each other," McEntire, 70, teased. Escobedo, 27, added that the characters' relationships will also deepen, making the show "even more of an ensemble" that is "just so funny."
