Devotional Rap: Hanuman Chalisa Gets a Club Mix Makeover

Singer Abhijeet Ghoshal has introduced a novel rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa, creatively merging traditional devotional verses with contemporary rap and club music. Ghoshal shared that this reimagining, titled 'Clubmix Hanuman Chalisa,' was inspired by the current demand for club mixes, even for religious songs. He stated that many ancient bhajans, including the Hanuman Chalisa, already contain the foundational elements necessary for such a fusion.

Ghoshal acknowledged the significant challenge in creating a musical piece that deviates from the familiar sounds of his upbringing. He expressed gratitude for the ability to undertake this project, comparing the rap and musicality of his 'Clubmix Hanuman Chalisa' to popular modern songs and international artists like BTS and BLACKPINK. The singer emphasized that his version offers a unique and engaging listening experience, highlighting the intricate rap delivery and its inherent meaningfulness.
