Mehta also shared a hilarious anecdote about the show's finale. He explained that the team was racing against the clock to deliver the last episode by the release date of October 9th, 2020. However, they encountered a last-minute technical issue with a "breathing dead body" in the final scene, which delayed the delivery by 24 hours. Despite these hurdles, Scam 1992 went on to receive unanimous acclaim and became a rage, overwhelming Mehta.
The director confessed that the show's success was so overwhelming that he had to take a break. It was only later that he and the team realized the true impact of Scam 1992, which has since become a landmark in Indian OTT content.
