Miley Cyrus recently attended a red carpet premiere celebrating the 20th anniversary of her acclaimed Disney Channel series, "Hannah Montana." The event, held at the El Capitan Theatre, honored the iconic popstar persona that launched her career.
During the premiere, Cyrus expressed that she has no intention of reviving "Hannah Montana" for a new series, stating she already feels exhausted by the current anniversary preparations. The special celebration, airing on March 24, will include Cyrus performing popular songs from the show and a special interview segment.
Joining Cyrus at the event were her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, sister Brandi Cyrus, and several original "Hannah Montana" cast members, including Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Cody Linley, and Jason Earles. The series originally aired from 2006 to 2011, following Miley Stewart's double life as a teenage pop sensation.
Cyrus also revealed that she strategically teased the anniversary special before it was fully confirmed, taking inspiration from Dolly Parton's advice to promote an idea before it exists. The anniversary special promises a surprise appearance by Selena Gomez, who guest-starred as Hannah's rival Mikayla Skeech in the second season.
