The ancient ruins of Hampi, Karnataka, are set to host the Hampi Utsav 2026 from February 13 to 15. This grand cultural festival, held within the historic imperial capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, promises a vibrant blend of history, art, music, and heritage. The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors this year.
Elaborate arrangements have been made, featuring six major stages across Hampi. The M.P. Prakash Stage, the main venue, can accommodate approximately 50,000 spectators, with other significant stages like Krishnadevaraya and Virupaksha hosting major performances. Dedicated stages will also highlight classical, folk, and contemporary cultural presentations.
Celebrities from the Kannada film industry, including Shivarajkumar and Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, are expected to attend. A special light and sound show will narrate the story of the Vijayanagara Empire's founders, Hakka and Bukka. Decorative lighting will enhance the festive atmosphere across a 50-kilometer radius.
