Halsey Stars in Montreal Horror Thriller

Pop sensation Halsey is taking on a leading role in "Replacer," a new psycho-sexual horror film she co-penned with actor-director Avan Jogia. Jogia is also directing the project, which features a troubled DJ named Proxy, portrayed by Halsey, who finds herself stranded in Montreal.

While in Montreal, Proxy encounters an artist and friends operating an underground radio station. Their broadcast becomes dangerously distorted by a mysterious signal emanating from deep within the city's subway system. Proxy must find a way to escape before the signal transforms her and her new companions into something primal and unrecognizable.

The film is currently launching sales at the Cannes market. CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group are handling North American rights, while Film Mode Entertainment is managing international sales. Halsey, known for her music and recent acting roles, and Jogia, an actor and emerging director, will be present at Cannes to support the film's introduction to the marketplace and engage with potential buyers.
