- Pratt embraced village life and campanology lessons.

Renowned bassist Guy Pratt, celebrated for his performances with iconic bands like Pink Floyd and artists such as Madonna, has embraced a new passion. Now 64, Pratt has taken up bell-ringing in the historic St Andrew's Church, located in the village of Alfriston, East Sussex.
This shift towards campanology occurred last year while Pratt was writing his memoirs during a period of reduced touring. He found himself drawn to village life and initiated bell-ringing lessons with the local rector. Pratt noted that his extensive musical expertise did not readily translate to the art of bell-ringing, a pursuit he described as having more complexity than initially apparent.
Having recently recovered from a shoulder injury that temporarily sidelined him, Pratt is now preparing for his return to the bell tower. He anticipates performing for a different kind of audience, looking forward to continuing his newfound hobby with enthusiasm for many years.
