Manish Malhotra's Debut Film Faces Box Office Uphill Battle

Manish Malhotra's first venture into film production, Gustaakh Ishq, is encountering significant challenges at the box office. The romantic drama, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, garnered a total of 95 lakhs over its opening two days, with a slight 10% drop on its second day compared to the first. This performance falls short of expectations, particularly given the film's reported budget of 25 crores.

The film's box office journey has been a difficult one, largely due to intense competition from other ongoing Bollywood releases, most notably "Tere Ishk Mein." Despite positive word-of-mouth, "Gustaakh Ishq" is struggling to attract audiences to theaters, making its recovery prospects appear increasingly grim.

As of its second day, the movie has recuperated less than 1% of its substantial production cost. This situation places "Gustaakh Ishq" in a precarious position, with fears that it may join other films of 2025 as a box office disappointment if its performance does not dramatically improve.
