Gulshan Devaiah to Make Tamil Debut in Netflix's Anticipated Crime Drama 'Legacy'

In November 2025, it was announced that acclaimed Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah is set to make his Tamil debut in the highly anticipated Netflix crime drama series 'Legacy'. The series, written and directed by Charukesh Sekar, features a prominent ensemble cast that includes R Madhavan, Nimisha Sajayan, Gautham Karthik, and several other established actors from the Tamil film industry.
The story of 'Legacy' follows "an ageing patriarch of a powerful crime family" who "races against time to anoint a successor to protect his mighty empire from an inevitable siege. He will have to fight to save the family, his empire, and most importantly - his legacy." Devaiah, who has primarily worked in Hindi films for the past 14 years, shared his excitement about the opportunity to explore linguistic diversity in his career. He will be portraying a cop who is struggling with his sense of responsibility towards his duty, family, and self.
Devaiah expressed his privilege in sharing the screen with the talented ensemble cast, including Madhavan, Sajayan, Abhishek, Karthik, and veteran actor Mr Viyapuri. The director, Charukesh Sekar, previously helmed the Telugu film 'Ammu'. 'Legacy' is produced by Kalyan Subramanian of Stone Bench Pvt Ltd, though a release date has not yet been announced.
