Gujarati Dance Choreographer Revolutionizes the Industry

In the past few years, the Gujarati entertainment industry has undergone a significant transformation, and at the forefront of this change is dance choreographer Prince Gupta. As of October 2025, Gupta, who hails from Vadodara, has been making waves with his work on popular D-Town dance tracks like Madhro Darudo and Popat, as well as Bollywood films such as Heropanti 2 and Baaghi 3.

Gupta believes that the industry has finally realized the importance of proper dance numbers in films. "While the industry is experimenting with different genres, I am happy that there are stories now that do justice to proper dance tracks," he says. Makers are now taking a keen interest in promoting these dance-centric songs, a shift from the earlier practice of including just one song in a film "for the sake of it."

The choreographer's goal is to bring a "Bollywood wala feel" to Gujarati songs, ensuring that even if someone listens to the track without visuals, they won't be able to tell if it's a Gujarati or Hindi song. Gupta has also started joining Gujarati projects as a song director, aiming to elevate the overall production value of these dance numbers.
