8 Nov
Summary
- Gujarati film 'Laalo' made on ₹50 lakh budget
- Earned ₹2.5 crore on its 5th Friday, outperforming new Hindi release
- Potential to cross ₹30 crore lifetime collections

In the Gujarati cinema landscape, a small film called 'Laalo - Krishna Sada Sahaayate' has emerged as a surprise blockbuster. Released on October 10, the movie was made on a paltry budget of just ₹50 lakhs, but has gone on to achieve remarkable success.
Despite a slow start, with collections of around ₹36 lakhs in the first week and ₹28 lakhs in the second, 'Laalo' began to gain momentum from the third week onwards. By the fourth week, it had earned a whopping ₹14 crores, far exceeding expectations.
On November 7, 2025, the film's fifth Friday, 'Laalo' earned ₹2.5 crores - a staggering 29 times more than the new Hindi release 'Haq', which managed just ₹1.16 lakhs on the same day. This unprecedented performance has the trade and industry stunned, with exhibitors reporting packed shows and audiences dancing in the aisles.
Based on the current trend, industry experts believe 'Laalo' has a strong chance of crossing the ₹30 crore lifetime collections mark, and a ₹40 crore lifetime cannot be ruled out either. This remarkable achievement for a small Gujarati film with an unknown cast has become a true 'chamatkar' (miracle) in the industry.
