25 Feb
Summary
- New single 'We Outlast Them All' released ahead of new album.
- Album 'Crawlspace of the Pantheon' out May 29.
- Band recorded album in-studio for tighter, energetic performances.

Guided By Voices has released "We Outlast Them All," the first single from their 44th studio album, "Crawlspace of the Pantheon," due May 29.
Frontman Robert Pollard noted the song was written in one take, calling it a potential anthem for perseverance that could apply to any group. He added that while the title might refer to the band, the goal is humble: "seek to occupy the crawlspace of the pantheon."
This album, unlike its 2025 predecessor "Thick, Rich, and Delicious," was recorded in-studio, a decision Pollard favored for its tight and energetic results. He also emphasized a more diligent approach to this album's lyrics, aiming for an emotionally conceptual and sometimes autobiographical feel.
The Dayton, Ohio band's career spans decades with numerous lineups and prolific releases, consistently delivering solid guitar rock, inventive melodies, and instrumentation. Pollard praised the band's top-rate performances on this latest release, stating the process is simply to enjoy the work and move on to the next project.
