Robilliard relocated to London in 1975, dedicating himself to a career in poetry. His first book and exhibition in 1984 marked a pivotal moment, subsequently propelling his career to new heights. The States' Culture and Heritage department noted this period as one of considerable professional growth for the artist.
The plaque will be officially revealed at the base of Clifton Steps in Market Square at 15:30 GMT. Community leaders, such as Ellie Jones, CEO of LGBTQ+ charity Liberate, have highlighted Robilliard's iconic status and his profound impact on local culture and history, emphasizing the enduring relevance of his witty and personality-filled work.
