This next installment promises to follow Captain Krause, portrayed by Hanks, on a significant wartime journey.

The first Greyhound film, released on Apple TV in July 2020, garnered significant viewership and an Oscar nomination for Best Sound.
Tom Hanks has also penned the script for Greyhound 2, continuing his involvement from the first film. He previously starred as a first-time captain tasked with protecting a convoy of 37 ships during World War II. The original story was inspired by events from the Battle of the Atlantic.
