Gregg Wallace Expects First Grandchild

Gregg Wallace, widely recognized for his role on MasterChef, has revealed that he is expecting his first grandchild. The 61-year-old television personality shared the happy news on August 11, 2026, by posting a sonogram image of his future granddaughter on Instagram.

Wallace expressed his profound joy, stating, "Grandad. This is my granddaughter. I'm going to be a grandfather." He is a father to three children: Tom, 32, and Libby, 29, from his second marriage, and seven-year-old Sid from his current relationship with Anne-Marie Sterpini.

Fans flooded his social media with well wishes, anticipating his delight in the new role. This personal milestone occurs after a tumultuous period for Wallace, who stepped away from MasterChef in November 2024 amid misconduct allegations. He was subsequently dismissed in July 2025 after a review upheld numerous allegations dating from 2005 to 2018.

Wallace issued an apology for any distress caused, emphasizing his intent was never to harm or humiliate. He later pursued legal action against the BBC for alleged data disclosure failures, though he discontinued the case earlier this year. His former co-host, John Torode, also departed the BBC following a report investigating Wallace's conduct, which included Torode's use of racist language.
