Gothic Trilogy Returns to PS5 in 2026!

The Gothic trilogy is slated for a major return to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S throughout 2026. THQ Nordic has planned a phased rollout for the classic RPG series, with each of the three titles arriving separately. The initial release is scheduled for July 28, 2026, followed by subsequent launches on September 29 and November 24, ensuring the entire trilogy is available by late 2026.

This staggered release strategy follows the announcement of a full remake of the first Gothic game, which is set to debut on June 5, 2026. Developed by Alkimia Interactive, this remake aims to reintroduce the series with modern capabilities. The classic trilogy entries will each be priced at €29.99 (approximately $35).

The Gothic series, originating in 2001 from German developer Piranha Bytes, is celebrated for its deeply immersive and reactive game worlds. Characters within the game famously respond dynamically to player actions, enhancing the sense of a living environment. The original title, released in 2001, was notable for its fully voiced dialogue and a strong international modding community.

This coordinated reintroduction of the Gothic franchise aims to capture both existing fans and new players.
