The animated band Gorillaz is making a significant impact in Los Angeles with a series of events coinciding with their new album, The Mountain. A pop-up shop, Gorillaz: House of Kong LA Gift Shop, is currently open to the public at 1005 Mateo St. in downtown L.A., offering a wide array of band-related merchandise.
Items include clothing, puzzles, and more, with merchandise specific to The Mountain arriving on Friday, March 17, the album's release date. Visitors can also enjoy a photo opportunity with the 1969 Chevy Camaro featured in the band's 2010 music video for "Stylo."
The gift shop's opening closely precedes the launch of the House of Kong Exhibition LA, an audiovisual experience co-created by Gorillaz members Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. This exhibition previously debuted in London in late 2025. The band also recently held a sold-out performance at the Hollywood Palladium, playing The Mountain in its entirety on both Sunday, February 21, and Monday, February 23.
