Gogglebox Stars Reveal Surprise Show Origin

Gogglebox stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford recently shared details of their television debut in their first joint interview. The beloved siblings disclosed that they did not actively apply to be on the popular Channel 4 show. Their journey to becoming household names began unexpectedly after they participated in "Vogglebox." This led to an offer to join "Gogglebox," an opportunity they eagerly accepted, viewing it as a potentially one-series experience.

Approaching their 20th series on the show, Pete and Sophie continue to balance their television careers with their regular jobs. Pete works as a builder and manages his own construction company. Sophie is employed as a florist. Their initial exposure came from a 2016 TalkTalk advertising campaign, where their entire family, including parents and other siblings, featured. Unmanned cameras captured authentic family moments, which ultimately led to their recruitment for "Gogglebox."
