The lead actor, Tharshan, shared that his character, AK, is "way more eccentric" than his real-life persona. Tharshan expressed his excitement about the film, stating that he has always wanted to do a romantic comedy and that his wishes are now coming true with GodsJilla.
The film also features veteran actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, who was roped in to play the role of a god, as the filmmakers needed someone the audience would listen to when speaking about love and women.
