Production is underway in Vancouver for Amazon's live-action "God of War" television series, with the first official images released. These images provide a glimpse of Ryan Hurst as Kratos and Callum Vinson as his son, Atreus. The narrative is set to adapt the story from the recent "God of War" video games.
In the series, Kratos will be seen raising his ten-year-old son, Atreus, while confronting the gods of Norse mythology. Their journey involves spreading the ashes of Faye, Kratos's late wife and Atreus's mother. This quest serves as a vehicle for Kratos to impart wisdom about godhood to his son.
The "God of War" series has secured a two-season commitment from Amazon. Ronald D. Moore is attached as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Frederick E.O. Toye is directing the initial episodes, with a robust team of executive producers overseeing the production.
