- The album blends gospel with R&B, pop, and hip-hop influences.
- Both artists pursued extensive solo careers during their hiatus.

The musical duo Gnarls Barkley has officially released their final album, "Atlanta." Produced by Danger Mouse and co-written with CeeLo, this album serves as a conclusive chapter for the pair. "Atlanta" features thirteen tracks, including the previously released single "Pictures," and is characterized by its eclectic mix of gospel, R&B, pop, and hip-hop sounds.
The duo, known for their impactful debut "St. Elsewhere" in 2006, took an extended hiatus. During this period, CeeLo Green released multiple solo albums and worked with his group Goodie Mob. Danger Mouse, whose birth name is Brian Joseph Burton, collaborated with numerous prominent artists and released music as part of Broken Bells.
Despite life and other creative pursuits intervening, Green and Danger Mouse intended to record a third album. They reconnected recently, dedicating time to produce this final offering. Green reflects that "life is a movie" and Gnarls Barkley acts as the narrator, with "Atlanta" being the latest cinematic piece in their story.
