Gleb Savchenko Clarifies Remarks on DWTS' Alan Bersten

Dancing With the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko has addressed backlash regarding his comments about fellow dancer Alan Bersten. Savchenko clarified his remarks, which many perceived as critical, during a recent TikTok live session. He asserted that he does not engage in "talking trash" about anyone and suggested that a lack of understanding of humor contributes to such misinterpretations.

Savchenko emphasized his support for Val Chmerkovskiy, stating he is "100 percent team Val." He also clarified his relationship with Alan Bersten, calling him a friend and a great guy with whom he has worked for many years. Savchenko explained that his comments were intended to highlight the challenges of being a replacement dancer, rather than to attack Bersten personally.

He further commented on Val Chmerkovskiy's suspension, calling it "bulls--- from the producers' point of view" and arguing that it unfairly punishes dancers and affects celebrity partners like Jenna Dewan, who had to adapt to a new partner. Savchenko concluded by reiterating that he did not attack Alan Bersten, but was merely stating that Bersten cannot be directly compared to Chmerkovskiy in terms of their dance capabilities for certain roles.
