Peacock is developing a scripted true crime series focusing on the notorious Gilgo Beach murders. The project, inspired by the streamer's prior docuseries 'The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets,' aims to captivate audiences with the chilling story of a serial killer who evaded capture for 30 years.
Penned by Jordan Hawley, who also serves as an executive producer, the series will delve into the investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of Rex Heuermann. Heuermann was taken into custody in connection with seven of the ten murders discovered near Gilgo Beach, Long Island, between 2010 and 2011. He has since admitted to an eighth murder and is scheduled for sentencing in June 2026.
Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is also executive producing the series through his G-Unit Films and Television banner. This collaboration marks another venture between Jackson and Peacock, following their work on the 'The Gilgo Beach Killer' docuseries. UCP is attached to produce the new scripted drama.
