In September 2025, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Daniel Roher makes his narrative debut with the thrilling film "Tuner." The movie stars rising star Leo Woodall as Niki, a talented piano tuner with a unique auditory condition that allows him to precisely detect even the slightest sounds.
Niki's life takes an unexpected turn when he realizes his rare ability can be harnessed for cracking safes. Havana Rose Liu co-stars as Ruthie, a driven piano composition student who introduces Niki to new realms of possibility. The film also features standout supporting performances from 2-time Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman, Lior Raz, Tovah Feldshuh, and Jean Reno.
"Tuner" has secured a U.S. distribution deal with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent, while Black Bear will handle international rights and distribution in the U.K. and Ireland. The film is the second title to join Black Bear's domestic slate after the recent TIFF premiere of Sydney Sweeney's "Chisty."
