Widowed Bachelor Gerry Turner Finds Love Again After Divorce and Cancer Diagnosis

In 2023, Gerry Turner, a 74-year-old Midwestern widower, became the inaugural lead of The Golden Bachelor, a new spinoff of the popular dating franchise focused on older adults seeking a second chance at love. Viewers were invested in Turner's journey as he proposed to Theresa Nist in the emotional November finale, and the pair made history with a live televised wedding ceremony in January 2024 that drew millions of viewers.

However, the happily-ever-after was short-lived. Just three months later, Turner and Nist announced they had split, stunning fans. In his new memoir, The Golden Years, Turner is now opening up about the challenges they faced and his desire to set the record straight.
