Richard Gere & Diana Silvers Star in New Novel Adaptation

Richard Gere and Diana Silvers are set to star in the film adaptation of Lisa Halliday's celebrated novel, "Asymmetry." Gere portrays a 70-year-old famous author, while Silvers plays a young editorial assistant, embarking on a secret and transformative relationship.

The plot centers on their unlikely connection, which sparks a private world for two. The synopsis reveals Ezra finds vulnerability, and Alice discovers her writing aspirations, until their secret is exposed.

Released in 2018, Halliday's debut novel earned a spot on The New York Times' most remarkable books list. Oscar-winning director Edward Zwick is helming the adaptation, co-writing the script with Halliday and Marshall Herskovitz.

Zwick expressed his admiration for the novel, noting it explores how asymmetry can be another name for love. Production commenced in New York City recently. The film promises to challenge preconceptions about love and power.
