NFL star George Kittle will venture into acting with a leading role in the upcoming eight-part frontier series, "Dinosaurs of the Wild West." Created by filmmaker Luke Sparke, the project is set in an alternate 1879. In this world, humans and dinosaurs built civilization together, with scenes depicting Brontosaurs hauling towns and Raptors ridden into battle. The series follows pioneers and outlaws navigating this unique, dangerous landscape.
The series aims to bring together a compelling ensemble, with Jesse and Martin Kove, along with Rachel Pizzolatto, also attached. "Dinosaurs of the Wild West" is currently being funded on Kickstarter, adopting a direct-to-fan model. Writer-director Luke Sparke emphasizes this approach as a new way to create ambitious content, relying on audience pre-orders to bring the project to fruition. A sequel to Sparke's film "Primitive War" is also in development.
