4 Sep
Summary
- Eddie enacts horrific revenge for his wife Bella's death.
- His brother Freddy and Gospel John were behind Bella's fatal crash.
- Season 3 will see Eddie's transformation and expand the show's world.
The second season of The Gentlemen ended with Eddie Horniman consumed by the desire for revenge following his wife Bella's tragic death. Initially believing Bobby Glass was responsible, Eddie's investigation revealed a betrayal by his own brother, Freddy, and Gospel John, who conspired against him.
Eddie exacted a brutal form of justice by forcing Freddy to kill Gospel John with a chainsaw. This act served as vengeance for Bella's death and a response to Freddy's resentment. The show's creative team noted this justice was warped, reflecting Eddie's unprocessed grief.
Theo James, who plays Eddie, confirmed that season 3 is greenlit and will delve deeper into Eddie's evolving character, exploring how much of himself he loses in his quest for retribution. The upcoming season is also set to expand the show's narrative scope by exploring new international locations, as indicated by pre-production developments in August 2026.
