Oberman also conceptualized this fresh take on the classic play. The synopsis describes Geri as a successful actress besieged by admirers, her secretary, estranged husband, and an eager playwright. James Dreyfus and Adrian Lukis are confirmed to join the cast, playing Monty and Len respectively.
Directed by Lindsay Posner, the production is a collaboration between Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Augusta Productions. "Present Laughter" will be staged at Theatre Royal Bath from August 26th to September 5th. Following its run in Bath, the play will embark on a nationwide U.K. tour.
