Baywatch Star's Jungle Heroine Series Now Streaming

Gena Lee Nolin, who gained fame as Neely Capshaw on "Baywatch" from 1995 to 1998, later embraced a supernatural role. At the turn of the millennium, Nolin headlined a television adaptation of a comic book, portraying a lesser-known superhero. The series "Sheena" aired in syndication between 2000 and 2002, showcasing Nolin as the titular jungle heroine. Sheena, orphaned in the jungle, possessed the unique ability to shapeshift into animals after making eye contact. The character could also transform into a fearsome mythical beast known as the Darak'na. "Sheena" is now accessible for streaming at no cost on Tubi, offering both seasons of the short-lived series. Nolin's Sheena was often partnered with John Allen Nelson's character, Matt Cutter, a former CIA mercenary who aided her in protecting the jungle.
