Geetu Mohandas: Father's Advice Fueled My Film Journey

Director Geetu Mohandas recently spoke about a lifelong piece of advice from her father that shaped her journey in cinema. Recalling her early start at four-and-a-half years old, Mohandas admitted to being a poor student but found inspiration in her father's counsel. He advised her to excel in whatever she chose, stating, "Make sure you're the best baker in town," if she wanted to be a baker. This guidance instilled a focused, 'horse-on-blinkers' approach, enabling her to ignore distractions and pursue her goals.

Mohandas also expressed deep gratitude to actor Yash, who she stated was the first and most significant believer in her vision. She explained that Yash's faith created a chain reaction, inspiring others to believe in her and her project. Her upcoming film, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups,' starring Yash, is reportedly targeting a worldwide release across over 12,000 screens. The film has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification without major cuts and will be released in multiple languages.
