The New York-based band Geese has made a notable return to Nigel Godrich's esteemed From the Basement music series, marking the first performance on the show in almost three years. Following its initial run from 2006 to 2009, From the Basement was revived in 2022 by Godrich. Since its relaunch, the series has featured performances by notable artists such as Idles, Caribou, and Squid. Geese’s appearance follows Nilüfer Yanya, who was the last artist to perform on the series before them.
Geese’s album, Getting Killed, was released in September. The band recently shared a music video for the track "Au Pays du Cocaine" and made an appearance on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where they performed a cover of New Radicals' "You Get What You Give."
