Gaz Beadle has responded to critics who called his return to Geordie Shore 'embarrassing' and 'skint.' Beadle, who left the show in 2017 to become a father, filmed a recent episode in Portugal with fellow original cast members. He defended his decision by drawing parallels to footballers like Thierry Henry and Micah Richards who engage in punditry and other media work.

Beadle, now a father of two, explained to The Sun that his return was carefully considered. He stated that he would not be replicating his past behaviour of excessive drinking, as it doesn't align with his current life. He also mentioned that the show has changed and his children are getting older, influencing his decision.

Originally joining Geordie Shore in 2011, Beadle remained with the series until 2017. His earlier stints were notably marked by his tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with Charlotte Crosby. He departed the show after discovering his then-girlfriend, Emma McVey, was pregnant with their first child.

Gaz Beadle is now dating nurse Maia Ellen, whom he went public with in 2024. He credits her with supporting him after his split from Emma McVey, with whom he shares two children, Chester and Primrose. His return to the show will contrast with his early days known for bedding, boozing, and brawling.
